Why OFDC for Education
Education is one of the few verticals where we split the work between our two divisions. Our furniture team focuses on higher-education — classroom seating, library commons, faculty offices, and administrative spaces at universities and colleges. Our flooring team covers K-12 schools across Southwest Florida, specifying durable, easy-to-maintain flooring that survives recess lines and fire drills.
Higher-ed learning spaces have changed. Lecture halls share real estate with active-learning classrooms, libraries are now commons, and the furniture has to flex as quickly as the curriculum does. We work with faculty planners to specify modular systems that adapt semester over semester.
On the flooring side, we know what a middle school hallway looks like in year five. We specify accordingly — and we install.
